Learning Music, Yawn-Free
Engaging ways to teach today's computer-savvy kids how to compose and play
"With Music Ace Deluxe from Harmonic Vision (about $50), your child gets 36
lessons beginning with a primer on the musical staff and moving through
complex concepts such as harmony and time signatures. A cartoon conductor
named "Maestro Max" delivers each lesson followed by games that test what
has been taught.
Music Ace is popular with schools wanting to cover beginning theory. Deluxe,
aimed at ages 8 and up, combines the best of the two previous versions,

WE LOVE IT!
"A teacher in a box, Music Ace
Deluxe (ages 5 and up; $50) makes learning how to read notes and play songs
fun and easy. Maestro Max, an animated tutor, will introduce your child to the
basics of music theory, note reading, pitch, and more with 36 computer lessons

compose her own pieces. The best part? The program offers advanced lessons as
your child's skills progress."

"I was pleasantly surprised
at how engaging the lessons are. They are actually fun
to complete. Each lesson also features a brief classical
music clip at its beginning and end. This is a great way
to introduce students to the classics. The lessons build
on each other and get more difficult as they progress. I
found myself thoroughly enjoying each lesson. My teenage
daughter noted "these things are addicting", and I have
to agree."

"This is a definite must-try
for parents whose students don't enjoy music lessons--and a special treat for
those who do!"
"When researching this product I also discovered that Music Ace programs are used by more than 5,000 school districts in North America. They've also received more than 30 awards for excellence. I have to say that if I could
grant an award, I'd give these programs one too! "
